An introductory course covering the basics of Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, and 3D Solid Modeling. Course includes basic instruction in AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, Mastercam and CATIA. Students gain an understanding of the principles of design and manufacturing. Course includes a survey of machining, inspection, 3D rendering, assembly, animation, and analysis. Course will also include a survey of basic principles used in architectural and civil design.
